Care. Connection. Community.

Growing up without a father leaves a void that can shape every part of a boy’s life—his sense of self, his path through school, and his vision for the future. In New Orleans, far too many boys face this alone, navigating complex challenges without male guidance.

Son of a Saint exists to change this.

More than Mentorship

Son of a Saint goes beyond mentorship. We are a lifeline for fatherless boys–providing wraparound care that embraces the whole child, from academics and mental health to essential life building skills.

Our mission is to transform lives.

Programs

Holistic & Impactful

Our programs look at the whole boy—not just his grades or goals, but his heart, confidence, and his sense of belonging. From academics to life skills, from mental health to new experiences, we equip our mentees with the tools to reach their fullest potential.

    Possibilty

A boy’s world grows when his experiences do. Travel, camp, art, and new adventures spark imagination and expand what feels possible.

Bonds. Brotherhood. Belonging.

At Son of a Saint, boys find mentors who stay, brothers who understand, and a community that believes.

Mentorship

Lifelong Connections

Mentorship is the cornerstone of our mission. Our mentors plant the seeds of possibility, showing up week after week to nurture trust and self-belief. They help boys navigate the inevitable challenges of life and begin to imagine a future without limits.

Krewe of Freret

Parading with the Krewe of Freret is more than tradition—it’s a moment for our boys and mentors to experience the joy, unity, and pride that make New Orleans home.

CHOP

Through the CHOP Program, mentees and mentors cook side by side, discovering healthy choices and portion awareness while strengthening bonds beyond the table.

Invest

A thriving New Orleans begins with the boys who will one day lead it. Every dollar, every hour, and every act of support is an investment in possibility. Whether you become a mentor, donate, or volunteer, every action builds bold pathways for our boys.

Growth starts at the root.

Stories

Our Future is Homegrown

What started with a handful of mentors has grown into a thriving network of many, with new mentees joining our program each year. The Homegrown Campaign is a testament to the impact that these relationships have on both mentor and mentees.

It Takes a Village

Behind every boy’s success story is a network of people who choose to show up. Mentors, guardians, staff, partners, and sponsors all come together to create a community rooted in care. Our village is proof that transformation is never a solo act—it’s the work of many hands.
